Bathroom Remodel

This long term rental property not far from the Otago Polytechnic & University was in drastic need of repair and an upgrade. Our clients were on a tight budget and JDBuilders was only too happy to help advise them on how we could stretch their budget further and still achieve their desired goals.

Initial Scope of Works:

* Remove the existing bath and replace it with a 900x900mm curved shower cubicle.

* Remove the existing vanity with one new 750mm vanity with a mirror.

* Supply Methven Waipori basin mixer, shower mixer & shower rail.

* Line bathroom walls and ceiling with Seratone wall linings.

* Remove existing bathroom flooring.

* Level the floor under the shower & match the existing floor.

* Allow new Robert Malcolm Moduleo Select wood look vinyl planking.

* Install new ex 100x25mm architraves and trim around the window above the existing bath.

Additional work completed:
 
* Replace the rotting external & adjacent wall framing (studs, top & bottom plates) with new in the bathroom. 
 
* Allow for new building paper to the wall, along with replacing existing roofing over bathroom & kitchen area.
 
* New ZincAlume corrugate on new roofing paper and flashings, including 2 penetration flashings. 
 
* New fascia board (ex 200×25) and new ZincAlume spouting to this newly roofed area. 
 
* Two rafters over bathroom to be repaired.
 

Conclusion:

Our clients were so happy with the final result that they asked JDBuilders to come back to upgrade their kitchen, refer to our separate listing on our website.
