JDBuilders was delighted to be chosen as the main contractor to create their shop refit at 42 Thames Street, Oamaru. This is their latest retail store. We were under very tight deadlines to complete the task, three weeks in total to be finished before Christmas, ready for their grand opening on Friday, January 19th, 2024.
Scope of work:
Install new internal walls/partitions as per Cullen Keiser Architecture plans dated 3/11/23.
Only allow walls to the storage area to be full height. All other walls are to be a maximum of 2.4m high.
Allowance has been made for a double top plate to provide additional strength in the wall to prevent warping. Allow for a 40x40x1.6mm steel box section as the ‘top plate’ over the change room doors & hallway door – similar to the supplied photos.
Install 2 x 810mm wide pre-hung doors, 3 x 760mm wide door panels to change rooms, and 1 x 810mm wide door panel to access change. All door panels are to be hollow core grooved MDF (Hume HAG11).
Install 9mm MDF sheets as wall linings to new walls/partitions using glue and brad nails. Install MDF sheets in a vertical install method, where requested.
Install 4 x client-supplied handles and hardware to change room doors.
Install 2 x client-supplied electronic locks to storage & hallway doors. Allowance for an all-in-one lock/handle unit. A provisional sum has been allocated for decorating.
